WANT SOME GET SOME :O

Further to Part I of my recipé for amazing apple pie (as shown in this previous journal dedicated to dammitMEL ), here is Part II, which in order to keep the file sizes down, comes in three "scenes".   My husband Keith, zerocomplex, actually gets screen time, wherein you get to see him do nasty things to apples.

For those who are interested in trying the recipé at home, feel free to refer to the download links for Flaky Pie Dough and Apple Pie Filling.

Et voilà!

..::: Scene I: Dough-rolling :::..

..::: Scene II: Filling Preparation :::..

..::: Scene III: Finale :::..

We hope these were entertaining :love:

Update:

On a somewhat unrelated subject, I would like to know:   Do you like bacon?   I personally believe everything tastes beter with bacon.   What are some interesting foods to pair bacon with?   Share with me your creativity and intellect!!

I'm not really a fan of pie (because I can't stand the crust), but your videos make me want some. :P

dACooking ftw

And Chiko makes me miss my kitty. :3 There is NOTHING else in the world quite like booping a cat in the nose. :lmao:

You're not the first person I know of who doesn't like pie crust ;) probably because you've just not had good pie crust.

You should get one then!

I want like 50 more Scottish Shorthairs.

I have a kitty at another house, but I'm incredibly allergic. I can finally breath for the first time in a decade. :< My nose was stuffed up for, literally, all of high school.

Ummm bacon goes good with everything. Lately I've been going to Extreme Pita! I've been having grilled chicken, bacon, onions, lettuce, cucumbers, tzatziki, and BBQ sauce! I think just the tzatziki and BBQ sauce is a weird mix.

I like can't believe I totally didn't comment on this journal. :|

The movies are very entertaining to watch, especially when Perry & co. start rolling in.

Question: Is English your first language? I'm asking this because you have a British-ish accent, living in the US (correct me if I'm wrong). And you remind me of me when you talk. :slow:

English is my first language, yes. But then again I did learn Cantonese, Mandarin, French and Japanese at a very young age... however I did say my very first word in English, so I guess that's my first language.

I've never really "lived" in the US. I grew up in Hong Kong, London, and Japan (from time to time). I went to school in London for like 8 years so that's how the accent came about :)

I am STAYING at my in law's house with my husband, in the US. I don't live here. I mean, I'm not even a US citizen yet (but I will be. Which means I'll have THREE citizenships).

IT IS YOU ARE LUCKY.
I grew up in my home town. I spent 19 years there. I get attached to things and places quite easily. I am also very nostalgic, and leaving home to go study and work in another city was and still is quite hard.

The best bacon I had was in Birmingham. My aunty made this wholesome chicken stock udon noodles with meat balls-- but the best bit was the deep fried bacon rashes on top. It was SO GOOD, because when you have something as healthy as chicken soup to seep in the fatty oil, it isn't so sinful.

Outstanding!!!! I love bacon. Bacon wrapped fillet. Bacon wrapped scallops. Bacon wrapped bacon. :giggle:

Actually ... bacon in soup is quite good. You need the right soup though. Maybe some corn and crab chowder with bacon. :drool:

Damn. Now I've got to go eat something. And on top of all that, I need to bake the stupid pie.

*adding rolling pin to shopping list right below the bacon*

Oooh I love bacon bits in my soup. LOVE IT.

And when you get a rolling pin, try and get a French one, without the silly handles :) The one I was using in the video is that of my mother-in-law's.
