Spoke with Keith today about some things close to heart, which makes me wonder, are there objects in your life that hold personal significance, that you treasure, and would never give away for anything?




In a way, objects may just be objects. We can't bring them with us when the day is done. The way I see it though, we might as well form attachments if they are meant to be let go in the end. If they can bring us joy, conjure memories both happy or sad... burdens though they may be... but then who doesn't have them? Ahhhh my calves hurt.

For me, there are photos, and some odds and bobs from my father's belongings... all of which I hope to pass down generations, while I tell tales of their gallant ancestor who passed these objects down to me.

Of course there's also my wedding ring. And my father's wedding ring - a simple, 18 carat gold band, with my mother's name "Vivian" and their wedding date "27-7-86" inscribed on the inside, which I wear around my neck on a chain during the day.
