WANT SOME GET SOME :O

Oh come on.   Think I would ever not write a review for one of my most highly-anticipated films of 2008?

I cannot begin to describe how awesome this was.   In fact, I don't seem to recall the last film I've seen that never contained one single second of dullness.   And of course, with Pixar, the quality of animation and CG and whatnot are always pushed up a notch with each and every new feature, however, the story itself was just so completely engaging that I think there was only one scene where I actually noticed how amazing the graphics were... let's just say, I have never seen CG fire look so real.   Ever.

Anyway... to all the film critics out there who said this film isn't meant for kids... they can go suck one.   The audience was made up mostly of children when my husband and I went last night and my god, were they not excited at every turn.   Besides, who ever said Pixar's films are "made for children"?   It's not like there's a headline or whatever on their posters that say, "THIS IS A FILM FOR CHILDREN".

The story touches the heart... trust Pixar to ever not get that right...

I want "The Art Of" book now.   Add that to my ever-growing collection of Pixar art books.

Question:   What is your favourite film of all time?   Please do not hesitate to divulge, and share, as to why :)   Mine is "Hannibal"... for many, many reasons.   All of them as beautiful as they are terrifying.   Most of which, is the constant reminder, to never succumb to denying oneself.

Wall-E looks fantastic, and as a Pixar film, it's not a surprise that it IS fantastic. ;)

I don't really have a favourite film...there are some that I watch over and over again, like Star Wars and LOTR...but I don't really have a favourite. :P

I have to say, I think my favourite film is "Amélie".
It just felt like when I watched it, that it just made me rethink a lot of my life. :P

I know that sounds stupid though.
Wall-e looks like a fantastic film for all ages, I can't wait to go and see it! :excited:

It's been getting good reviews everywhere I've read. Not sure how they could say it's not a kids movie, or what that means exactly. For a long time now I've noticed 'kids' movies tend to fit in quite a few adult jokes and such to stop the parents from falling asleep.

As for favourite films... I don't really do favourites honestly, I like quite a lot. But, if I where to pick two based on the number of times I've re-watched them, I'd say Snatch and V for Vendetta are up there. I actually saw V at the cinema like... 5 times, never done that before.
I think with Wall.E it wasn't so much "adult jokes" as it is just... a story for everyone. ANYONE with any level of motivation and imagination

I wanted to see V in theatres... it's among my top 5 favourites  I actually did not really like it so much the first time... probably because I didn't understand... and then... the more I see it... the more amazing it becomes. Just changes my perception each and every time I watch it.

Wonderful choice

Watched that with Keith, he's never seen it before that. And he loved it.

It's kind of depressing in an uplifting way, but then you'd know what I mean :)

When are you seeing it?!

Why?

Amélie is a beautiful film.

She's probably one of my favourite film heroines.

What can be more commendable than confronting one's own fears? :)

A lot of people like to put down Pixar though, I find. Or they try.

:P

I love the message in all their films though. Just... really inspiring.

Ever done marathons? For SW and LOTR?
