Note:
Please see the photo reference of myself.
This is the first and probably last time I will ever publicly share my reference. It's just in this instance I did not understand the reservations regarding the anatomy and the fingers, since they are based off my reference in as close exactness as I could render.
When captured at ground level, and with the arms positioned as such, the breasts become completely obscured, thus exposing just the abdomen. And no... I'm a B cup, before you start wondering.
Double jointed fingers, when foreshortened, take on just so an appearance. Especially in cases such as mine where agile, tiny fingers come into play.
Romanticising the anatomy would not have served my original purpose.
If however there's something I'm missing, please let me know.
Thank you

The shadowing on the figure is very nice helping in creating depth to the figure. Very well done here. The red splattering and marks give additional energy to the piece. The bamboo motif being left white is a wise choice as to keep it from disappearing into the background but towards the bottom the opposite begins to happen. This does not affect the focus in the painting but darkening the bamboo at the lower area of the painting may frame the figure in and re-establish the focal point. If this were not done though, it would not hurt anything as this is already a well done painting.
Attention to detail is great, and you can't help but give it multiple looks and still find things that you haven't seen before. The female subject is well-depicted and can almost be imaged crawling toward you out of the very image she was conceived in. The tiger skin headdress is a true show of beauty and the way the fur looks on it is excellent.
Personally, I'm not sure which one is more attractive the color usage or the detail used. The color perfectly suits the bold feeling you get from the image in itself.
The background colors are almost like the flames of the female's inner desires and passions and the tiger skin on her back could also represent her more primitive desires that she is desperately trying to overcome despite it appearing as more of a burden as she slowly tries to move forward.
All in all, this is yet another beautiful piece made by our friendly neighborhood gallery director ^snowmask. Another great piece and another great compliment to anyone's collection.
