it is hard to critic your images simply because they are full of a subjectivism that is admirable, I love the way that you are able to expose concept with your own personal vision, Something I've notice is that you usually tent to go from dark to clear, which is amazing considering that the viwer will always begin by the up part, and when you start with such powerful colors it makes the eyes vibrate, I love it the concept is just amazing, specially because it actually does portraits a mirror.

One of the only things I would probably critic and remember that is just a personal choice, nothing against your art, is the way that you apply the tecnique, I mean watercolor is a soft tecnique I would like to see more strenght in the colors, I mean I see that you hardly ever work the shadows I mean you do apply the shadow effect plus you hardly work on it. It gives me the sensation that is a not finished work, I mean maybe because it is too clear, or because the hands and in the places where I would seek for a strong shadow is hardly dark, I believe that takes away from the much wonderful work this could be.

though I love it, you always have a way to fascinate me that not many people does.

Yet another breathtaking piece of artistic beauty displayed before me. As I searched through the many pieces through today's galleries, this one just seemed to call out like a beacon of light in the deepest darkest shadows. But I digress, lets begin with the critique, shall we?

The first thing I have to say caught my eye were the colors. Such a subtle and beautiful use of blues that just seems to immerse my senses within the piece itself. The flowers shrouded within the blue background look amazing without being overwhelmed by the rest of the colors. The detail used in the image shows excellent skill as well. The facial features are wonderful and even the fingernails on each of the two hands look convincing enough. I also like to point out the good use of light refraction and reflectivity on both of the subject's eyes. Its just another one of those small, minuscule details that just adds more to the beauty of the piece.

The image also carries a powerful message within it, and it is clearly seen. The two subjects represent two people in love with each other, their tears can represent the hardships through their lives and the pains they had to have endured throughout. The flower being balance only by the lover's tongues, can represent the memories and cherished moments shared by the two people and each of them have a sort of spiritual balance with those moments.

Bottom line, it is yet another beautiful piece by our very own talented ^snowmask. It is a beautiful image to admire and is a worthy addition to anyone's collection.

I can't help but think of a performance by Patty Chang, called "Fountain", where she slurps water off a mirror.

The best I can find is this still, [link]

but this is her rework of the piece in a collab with Joseph Beuys [link]

Amazing hey? She's an interesting artist, very brave with some of the things she does!

Theres a short doc on her on youtube if you look her up, I think it might have a short snippet of Fountain in it, I don't really like Beuys :/

This truly is a gorgeous piece. All of the colors are so subtle and each complement one another so wonderfully. The concept itself is unquestionably amazing, and your anatomy, even though stylized, is just beautiful. I love this piece very much, and you did an AWESOME job. :)
