Wow! What a dynamic painting! The color palette grabs the eye's attention immediately. The addition of the "action style" splatters and droplets work well with the figure giving her more movement and vitality. The energetic marks of the wings, of which I like, give her a lot of movement adding to her dynamism.
I feel the perspective of the body is well done. Definitely a difficult pose to achieve on paper. The skin tone I think is excellently rendered! Very realistic, very believable. I find it difficult to achieve a nice skin tone like this. Kudos on this!
The light and shadow is well done too. Shadows and highlights on skin can be so tricky to render and I think you did a good job on it. I am curious to know if she is supposed to be air born. I presume she is since there is no shadow being cast from her foot.
I would like to have a little more insight to this person. I see the skull as a crown(queen of the heavens). A little shamanistic in the sense she seems to be taking on the energies and power of the bird. I see her connection to the heavens with all the bird features(birds being symbols of the soul, connected to heaven and communicating with the gods). Quite a different perspective of Hera. I like it.
Another nice piece from you.

Well, since I am a basic member I will do my critique here. I love how the contour of the body is laid out; the color pallet is excellently chosen... very vivid colors that pull at the eyes. The facial expression, or the lower half of the face, is very expressive, and very reminiscent of a harpy. Overall I enjoy the piece. Wonderful job.

Don't even think about touching this. Isn't that what it says on the picture of your crotch at the free clinic?

It looks like she's desperately trying to set herself free from something painful.

A beautiful piece, like usual Katie.
